Over the last couple of years we have been involved in local indoor flying and have built several indoor planes from plans on the internet. We have also started to carry Depron and EPP foams to supply to the local fliers for them to build them as well. This winter we are beginning to offer full laser cut kits for various designs. The first of those designs is our interpretation of the Leadfeather Yak55 from rcgroups. EPP or Depron (coming soon) |

We are offering the following three versions: |
||
32" 9mm 1.3# EPP VersionThis is the typical version of the plane flown. It has the light weight and great handling characteristics and yet the EPP foam gives it some resilience to the bumps and less than perfect landings seen when learning new maneuvers. It is fully capable of 3D maneuvers and can be flown indoors or outdoors and yet can be toned down to be grown with and into. This is not a self-righting trainer airplane but it is a great option for learning more advanced tricks and a fun companion indoors over the winter. |
32" 6mm Depron VersionThis is the more advanced version of the plane. It has the light weight and crispness that Depron construction provides to further polish your 3D maneuvers. Like it's EPP siblings, this plane can be flown indoors or outdoors but it is a lot less forgiving to the typical bumps seen while learning. Repairs are easy with foam safe CA or tape. |
28" 9mm 1.9# EPP VersionThis version uses the heavier EPP foam is a little beefier than our 32" EPP version and has been used for streamer combat by the local clubs. The heavier weight foam gives it even more tolerance to the bumps of contact and the smaller size gives it a little more agility. The wing loading is a little higher so it is less "floaty" than the other versions. |
